Where do you get ideas?
I often wonder what inspires other people.
For me, it comes in little spurts everywhere. Like this morning when I flipped the TV onto PBS for my kids: the show is called Bookcase, and featured several authors in a 30 minute time slot. I'm not a TV watcher (unless it's a movie!), but listening to Lithgow talk about writing children's books grabbed me. I had to leave the house 10 minutes later and regretted missing the rest of the program.
Amazing stuff, though, as Lithgow said he wrote Macawber while walking his dog for an hour each morning...basically working out a stanza a day. Plenty of inspiration on the morning walk. So...goal in mind...an inspiration notebook!
